UWB Communications Node

The ultra-wideband (UWB) node supports UWB communication capabilities and supports wireless ranging functionality. The pulse radio UWB technology with its high temporal resolution enables ranging and localization applications with ranging accuracy of 10 centimeters. By the availability of the channel impulse response (CIR) information for each received packet, several data processing approaches can be used for localization accuracy improvement, object detection, disturbance analysis etc.

The UWB node can be used as an extension to LGTC infrastructure node or as a standalone mobile or fixed node.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The SNPN-UWB board supports communication over IEEE 802.15.4-UWB short-range low-power ultra-wideband communication channels based on DecaWave DWM1000 UWB module. Communication with board can be established over several communication interfaces as UART, USB, I2C or SPI. It incorporates flexible power supply powering board with external 5 V, external 3.3 V, battery or powering it over USB connector.
